Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone I’ll be waiting all there's left to do is run You be the prince and i’ll be the princess Its a love story baby just say yes
My pillars pounded, as I stretched my form across the lands, my too long legs not quite fitting into the smoother lines of my bodice just yet. But right now, I wasn't worried about that. I was running, a full out gallop,, my head occasionally twisting back to see what it was chasing me so relentlessly. I could her the falls of what ever it was, as their own feet hit the ground, the sound getting closer and closer to me with each movement I made. My breath was coming out in pants now. My heart felt as if it would soon be jumping out of my chest. What was it? Where was it? And better yet, how was I to escape it?
Suddenly, I lost my footing, stumbling. But, I was no longer running through a forest, I was at the edge of a cliff, and as I stumbled, I found myself toppling over the side of the clidd, my hooves falling over my cranium, as I fell. A cry tore from my throat as I fell, and I could hear equine's yelling out my name. I twisted my tiara up to see the rest of my former herd watching me. Your powers! I had found my air powers already! Why don't I just work on bending my way down. My eyes widened as I found myself unable to bend... anything. No. No! this can't be happening. I felt myself whimper softly, as I saw the earth coming closer and closer to me. Ever so closer. And as I was about to hit the rocky formations, that were sure to pierce my coat...
Dela shot up, her gray eyes wide, and her heart pounding. The light palomino two year old looked around with confusion, before she let out a sigh of relief. It was just a dream. She told herself with relief. Just a dream, none of it had been real. She looked down at herself, and let out another sigh of relief when she saw that not only had it been a dream, but she was as unharmed as she was when she had curled up to fall asleep last night.
Dela shook out her creamy white mane, feeling the familiar, and cool touch of the crystal like jewel tied into her mane, lightly bang against the side of her neck. Her soft pale gold form looked around, her eyes still a little wide as the last inklings of the fear she had felt from the dream, slowly flaked away. And soon, the femora was up, and bright, just as she was the previous morning.
After all, who does suffer from night mares. We all do. Dela soon glanced around, her gray eyes curious at where she was. Somewhere in the Air Terras, Dela was aware of that. But, in her search for her dam, she hasn't 'exactly' been keeping track of where she has been going. Dela soon broke out into a slow trot as she glanced around, a curious, yet gentle smile an the palomino filly's face.
Dela was a rather beautiful creature, even in the odd awkward, final, stages of adolescence. She was finally beginning to finish growing into her adult form, her once gray body, now a beautiful palomino. Though the coloring was a softer version of the 'palomino,' the lighter contours of the coat appeared to be... 'more' of Delarose's style. Dela's long creamy white tresses fell around her, though not as long as her mothers yet. Gray eyes stared out of a roman styled facade. A little too long legs flowed into an almost perfectly proportioned bodice, whose linears already pointed to just how beautiful Dela would be when the mare reached adult hood. But the oddest part of the palomino, wasn't the soft dapples on her shoulders, and part of her bodice, or her 'almost' striped hooves. No. The oddest part was the jewel that was tied into her mane, a crystal like jewel, that held an almost blue hue to it's dimensions, and then the tiny circular sapphire tied just centimeters above it.
But dare you not question her about such jewel, for the mare will surely fall into silence her jewel, is her only secret. And as open as the femora might seem, she adored her secrets, almost as much as the prankster liked her own pranks. Dela's gray eyes peered around her, as she trotted, the light feathering around her delicate hooves shaking slightly with each step she took. Her bright, clear eyes, danced as she observed the world around her. But... what to do now? That was the question that haunted young Dela's mind. What to do now. Other then locate her dam, of course.
Dela sighed, as she looked up at the sun that was beginning to climb into the sky. "Greetings, Lord Apollo." She whispered softly, as she glanced away from the sheer brightness of the sun. The femora continued her walk, as Apollo's chariot continued to climb higher, bathing the world in it's warm brilliance. Dela smiled to herself as she continued her long walk, with so much as a care in the world. She was feeling excited to just be here. Why would she really 'care' about anything right now. She wanted to see this new world, that her mother had discovered as a new lands for both she, and Dela.
And so far, Dela liked what she saw. The pretty palomino two year old continued her slow, and steady walk, a slight bounce in her step, as her gray eyes sought out her mothers gray and cream form. Where could her dam be? She had to be somewhere. But, like yesterday, Dela soon got bored of this... This... 'Slow' and 'Steady' walking search. And before long, the filly was playing, her eyes bright and cheerful.
She slowly reached inside herself, as her grandmother had taught her, to feel the tightly coiled springs of her power, the power to manipulate the air. The filly slowly took a string of the power, not much, but enough to complete what she wished to do. And as she caught the strand with in her mind's grasp, she began to work with it, petting and crooning to it, till she felt it's vibrations. And then she let it out into the world, with one desire in mind.
And, with out double checking with her desire, a soft loose wind wrapped around the femora, and she closed her eyes, as she leaned into the strands of air. Her mane whipped around her, gently stroking the air, and the forms of her body that it touched, as the air spiraled around the flicka. Then she tossed her mane back, drew the power back in, and wrapped it once more into the coil, near her heart, where her power was centered. This technique to use, yes, it is a little 'different' but, it's how her ancestors had been doing it, and it had been a technique pasted down to her.
Besides, for the two year old, it kept her new found power in check. No loose, uncontrolled winds burst, et cetera. She had found the perfect way to harness her power. The femme began her walk again, her tail spread behind her slightly, in a way that displayed her arabian blood lines, and as she continued to walk around, a new desire in her heart.
Find someone to play with... The question was... who?
I just want you to know. I wanna be your Romeo. Hey Juliet

Sultan
Birds chirped in the trees that stood in a small clump, shielding a certain individual from the rising sun. The air was crisp and chilly, the exhaled breath from any living being a cloud of vapor which was only seen for a moment. The night had passed uneventfully into early dawn, the time where birds began to stir and sing their wintery songs, fluffing their feathers or taking to the wind in order to keep themselves from being frozen stiff.
In the predawn light, a golden figure could be seen sleeping peacefully beneath a frost-coated tree, whose leaves had all but fallen from its limbs. He did not stir as the birds began to sing and as wild animals came to life once again, he continued in his lazy slumber, unaware of the hour. Only as the sun broke through the thick branches of the trees and shone strongly on his glittering pelt, penetrating his eyelids, did he begin to waken, grudgingly, to the waiting world. He laid on the warmed ground for awhile, gradually becoming more and more alert to the world around him as the joy of a new morning filtered through the Ruling Air Terra. Sultan finally sighed and stretched his limbs, knowing that if he didn't get up he'd... CLOUD!
The young stallion bolted upright and shook himself, readying to dash off in the direction of Cloud's residence, completely disowning breakfast. Just last night they'd been forming plans, what to do, where to go, and the like. The two never did run dry on ideas when together, and one could safely say that they enjoyed every minute of daring and risky endeavours.
Sultan started off at a brisk trot and his hopes rose in anticipation of the brilliant day that had been planned. His pace passed into a canter as his excitement rose, the hardened ground beneath him creating the thudding effect of a galloping horse. He threw his head back into the air, a whistle piercing the morning air as he headed toward the unclaimed land, the Wild Valley, where fun never ceased to present itself. There were cliffs to dive from, small patches of woods and all sorts of terrain to rampage through. A grin broke out across his muzzle as he crossed through the now resurrected lands of Air, imaging one day standing as a lead at the border of one of these fine lands. A sudden idea launched itself into his mind and caused his footfalls to slow and finally turn from their destination on a short detour. A small outcropping of rock stood up from the generally flat landscape and he made his way to the highest point. The young stallion glanced around at the surrounding land in a pretense of ownership, indulging his imagination. He let out a shrill whinny and listened as it died off across the expanse of waving yellowed grass. A smug expression graced his finely shaped facade as he tore down through the rocks and back to beelining for Wild Valley.
He arrived shortly after, panting from the exertion, but his energy just beginning to move into his blood stream. He came to a stop on a softly sloping knoll, kicking up some leaves in the process. The two hadn't specified an exact location, so Sultan figured he'd just wait here for Cloud.. chances are, his mom had gotten onto him about something right before he left, hence the delay. The rumbling in Sultan's stomach gave him a good excuse to be patient for Cloud's arrival, so he obliged his hunger and grazed.
Almost an hour past before Sultan grew restless, wondering where Cloud had gotten to. A thought explaining the reason for his absence crossed Sultan's mind, and he had a notion that it'd be a wise idea to accept it. Cloud's mom was almost always unpredictable, so it wasn't altogether unrealistic to suspect her for having some part in it. It had happened before, so why not today? Because we had awesome PLANS, darnit. Sultan's happy expression was now replaced with a frown and disappointed look. Today would probably be one of the most boring days he'd had in awhile. He thought maybe he ought to go seek his mother out, just to visit with her, but he nixed the idea after a bit of thought. Maybe Cloud was waiting at the other end of the terra, or.. somewhere between, and was waiting just as he was. Hmm.. that was a possibility. Sultan's hopes rose just a little bit as he cantered down the knoll and through dead or dying grass.
He was headed east, so the sun was shining in his eyes as he searched, half-blinding him in the process. He was about to turn and head for the northern part of the terra when he spotted a figure up ahead, striding gracefully away from his current location. Without thinking, Sultan sped up into a fast gallop, trying to blink away the sun from his eyes. He had no doubt that it was indeed Cloud. His quick assumption led him to miss the details that would've told him that it wasn't Cloud, details such as the lack of dark color, the pace at which he moved, and certain minute things that Sultan wouldn't have noticed even if he'd tried.
"Cloud! Wait up, man! I've been waiting for you for a whole hour.. where'd you go off to? I was beginning to believe that your mother had grounded you or something!"
Sultan snickered and drew within a couple yards of this figure... and stopped. He realized with surprise that this was NOT Cloud.. not even close. This was a GIRL. His mind flashed back to a couple days prior when that other girl, Val, had tried to chill with them. He snorted indignantly.. and then remembered that here was another one. Val hadn't turned out that bad though.. there was a chance that this one was the same.. but then again.. she might be a prissy female. Sultan muttered something unintelligible under his breath before trying to apologize and excuse himself without seeming rude. That was one thing he hated.. rudeness. A little sarcasm and teasing here and there.. maybe a bit of patronizing, but being outright rude was.. extremely distasteful.
"Oh, uh.. sorry about that. I, obviously, thought you were someone else. Excuse me, please..."
His words weren't cold, but they weren't all that warm either. He stood for a minute looking over the similarly pelted filly before trotting off in a northern direction, his hopes of the arrival of his friend quite dashed to pieces now. Today would now be the definition of "bored", or so he thought, and he proceeded to settle for some mindless browsing and mustering up ideas for games that he and Cloud could use in the future. He was still within seeing-distance of the light palomino filly, so he thought it safe to sneak a glance back at her. With the sun in his eyes, it was no wonder he'd mistaken her for Cloud at a distance, but he could clearly see now that had he been any other direction, such an embarrassing situation would surely have been avoided. He frowned at himself and turned his attention back to the scenery that spread out, open and calling, before him. Today was only one day missed.. not that bad. Sultan didn't feel quite himself today though.. the prolonged absence of Cloud tended to do that to him... he was much more subdued without the activity of his partner in crime.
((OOC: Hmm.. I don't think too bad XD Enjoy, Dyzzie! ^^ ))

To be or not to be. Now that is… one of Delarose’s favorite quotes. To be or not to be, it covers almost everything in life. To be kind, or not to be. To be generous, or not to be… it has a version for EVERY aspect in life. Of course, at this moment in time, Dela wasn’t really worrying about what to be, or what not to be. Right now, she was worrying about where to be. She was supposed to have met up with her mother a whole FORTNIGHT ago, and yet, here she was, still wandering these lands… alone. With out her mother. What was a foal to do? She supposed she really should start looking for her mother… But… To the young flicka, that didn’t seem like… fun. She’d much rather go her own way, do her own things, and slowly make her way towards her destination. It was a LOT more fun that way. The problem however? One is still left, wondering… In which direction is her mother, and while Dela missed her mater the young two year old really didn’t want to start looking this earlier in the morning. If it weren’t for that nightmare earlier, the young filly would still be asleep in the first place. Dela trotted around, her steps smooth, with just enough bounce that she could feel the familiar weight of the jewel tied into her mane slapping against her neck. Grey eyes stared out into nowhere, as she pondered where to go next. It’d help to know at least where I was at But, Dela didn’t know. She was somewhere in the Air Terras, that is all the young filly knew. All. She shook her head before snorting, and picking up her pace, and before long, was staring at a new landscape, slightly altered. ”Where am I?” She asked, shaking her head with an annoyed snort. Then she heard a voice.
Cloud! Wait up, man! I've been waiting for you for a whole hour.. where'd you go off to? I was beginning to believe that your mother had grounded you or something! It was a young voice that the vixen heard. Another foal, a colt by the slightly deeper sounds, and she pondered whom he was speaking to. She glanced around, and finally saw the one who had called out, a palomino like herself, only much darker… But, he was… heading towards… her? He must have seen her, and though she was someone else? Who was Cloud, though? And then the colt realized his mistake, as he stopped and stared at her. Dela bit back the urge to smirk, and coyly ask if he had been expecting someone else. But right now, she merely stood there, grey eyes amused, and a slight smirk at the edges of her maw, her posture speaking the question she didn’t want to voice. Yes, Dela had some ‘attitude’ if one could call it such. But you look into the grey eyes that lay in the roman dished façade, and you don’t see girly, stubborn attitude, you see the amusement of a prankster, and tormenter, and girl who does all she can to make life… amusing. After all, life with out these perks… just isn’t ‘fun.’ At least, not to Dela, it isn’t.
Dela snorted, as the colt continued to just stand there, and she had an odd desire to tell him, ‘look all you want, I’m not going to change into who you where expecting me to be.’ But she didn’t. Dela held her tongue still, but for how long, now that was the question, and in what language would she speak, seeing as the creature is trilingual, with a few other phrases in other languages thrown into the mix. Then the stallion finally spoke again. Oh, uh.. sorry about that. I, obviously, thought you were someone else. Excuse me, please... The filly could no longer hold back her words now. ”Obviously.” She snorted, an amused look on her face, then… the colt suddenly turned, and started walking on. And annoyed look decorated Dela’s face. No. No. No! He can’t just walk off! She wanted some one to play with. And since she didn’t seem to be finding that, the least she could do to entertain herself, is tease this colt who thought her to be someone else. She flicked back her mane, the gem in her hair catching the light, causing it to sparkle slightly, before she called out. ”Hey wait! Who are you looking for anyways?” She asked, as she followed him, picking up her pace easily, to catch up, her Arabian lines giving her the elegance, and grace to catch up not just quickly, but smoothly. Not a single tumble, or off step ever seemed to come to her. She slowed as she neared where he stood, a slightly annoyed as she peered at him. ”You know, maybe you should get your eyes checked, if you really thought I was someone you knew… Considering you said ‘dude’ and I’m defiantly not a guy…” Just saying.
What would Dela say if she knew she was mistaken for not just a guy but also a unicorn colt. Ya, that’d be amusing. The filly smirked, trotting closer, before dipping her head slightly to the colt, ”I’m Delarose. Dela for short. And you, my blind friend, are?” She asked, her chosen words hinting it would be a while before she lets him forget about the mistaken identity problem. But a smirk still curled on the pranksters maw, as she took a half step back, relaxing her left back dagger, and flipping her mane out of her eyes, the sapphire sphere, and soft clear/blue crystal showing up brightly against the rest of her creamy locks, against the side of her pale gold neck. Grey eyes looked upon the colt in amusement, as she added, ”I do say, though... this is the oddest way I have yet to meet another. Though… I think ‘accidentally’ appearing to be a Kelpie, to scare the newcomer to my last herd, was the funniest way to meet someone. Ah, such fond memories.” Ah yes, that was an amusing moment. Being a Kelpie, a murdering horse of fiction, that came from the water, to trick others back into it, drown them, then eat their flesh. Dela still wasn’t sure how a little lake slime, and Seaweed had made her appear as such, but it was indeed an amusing prank. Though she had to apologize to the vixen later that day. It was still worth it. But… this was the first time she has been mistaken for SOMEONE else, not something else…
Dela watched the colt, waiting to hear what he would say next. This might turn out to be an amusing meeting after…

You know, the saying goes, “when life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” Think about it. If you just have lemons, your lemonade is going to suck.
I was born in a herd of wild horses, as many of us were. We were a vast herd, living in vast lands. The predators were few, but the dangers were many. The elders told stories about the strange, two-legged, furless creatures that often rode upon the backs of those they stole from us. Every few years, they would come back, screaming like wounded animals, and throw ropes over the necks of our young. And we would never see them again. We learned to be wary and cautious; to always know our surroundings. We travelled quite often. It seemed that the creatures were always moving closer and closer, setting up their dwellings nearer and nearer our foaling lands.
Then it happened. I never thought I’d live to see the day when the creatures rode upon the backs of my childhood friends and charged into our herd. Panic broke out; and so did mayhem. Everyone scattered. The old and the young were left vulnerable. Few stallions stayed to fight. I watched as one of my own children was caught. I will never forget the look in his terrified eyes as he was dragged away, fighting like the devil the entire time. He would have been a great leader in time. He wasn’t the only one that was taken from us. There were many young colts- some barely off their mother’s tit. A few fillies were taken from us as well. Very, very few of those out of foalhood were taken, however.
We fled until we reached the forest, some couple miles away. Those of us that remained were terrified, exhausted, and thirsty. One of the younger members of our group looked up to me, asking what to do now. I then became the unofficial leader of our misfit herd. We travelled until we found water and we rested there for a couple days. We didn’t stay in any one place long. Miles upon miles we put behind us and the terrors we witnessed that day. We stumbled upon a few herds, and a few at a time, my group dwindled until I was the only one left. I kept going, unsure of where I was headed, or when I would know I had found the place my feet were taking me.
Months after my group initially fled our lands, I came to another herd. I watched them warily for a few days, wondering if they would be friend or foe. They did not seem to mind I was so near to them. I decided it was time to go closer and find out for certain. I was weary of travelling, and I wanted to be with others again. I was lonely, to be sure, but these lands were new to me, and I smelled animals I had never smelled before. Something told me they were dangerous, and to stay away. We were taught there is safety in numbers.
And so I entered this new land with my head held high, dark coat glittering in the sunlight. My hooves sunk into the cold ground, and I decided I didn’t like it. It wasn’t like the heat at home, but I suppose I would adapt. I was good that way. My eyes were scanning the area, settling upon each of the two horses nearest me in turn. One seemed a younger filly, and the other, a colt. I heard vague snippets of conversation as the wind brought it to me; but none of it was really intelligible. I decided to step closer and greet them. It wouldn’t hurt to know someone in the lands I am going to make my home, right?
Stepping forward with the grace and confidence of a king, I let myself be seen (not that I was invisible, mind you). I made a soft noise, like a human sniffling so they would be heard, and wouldn’t have to seem rude by interrupting. I hoped I wasn’t interrupting, but it seemed as though the two of them had recently met. Perhaps I was wrong; it’s been known to happen on a few occasions; but I suppose I would find out, wouldn’t I?
I hope I’m not intruding… I looked to each of them in turn, waiting for them to either tell me I was not; or to tell me I was, and to leave. Assuming the latter would happen, I continued. I am Tertius, a newcomer to these lands. My voice was deep and rich; smoothly flowing like the desert as it travels forever. I stood there and waited for a response from either of them, hoping I hadn’t made a mistake.

Sultan
Sultan hadn't planned on the filly following him, by any means. Her voice followed him as moved away, tones not the girly, injured ones he had expected. What was it with girls these days? Always being different from normal.. or maybe it was just his luck. Running into strange girls.. but that was a good thing, in a way. I mean, atleast she isn't the stuck up, "you're so charming" sort.
”Hey wait! Who are you looking for anyways?”
He cast a glance her way and saw that she had made her way over to where he now stood, fully aware of the rather annoyed expression on her face. He smirked inwardly at the bit of annoyance that she happened to show; perhaps he was wrong about her personality after all.. maybe she was what she seemed.
Sultan's spirits lifted a little at the prospect of a little fun. There was nothing like a little teasing to revive the soul!
"Oh.. nobody much, really.. I'm surprised that I could've mistaken him for you.. I mean you look nothing alike! At all. Hah.. to compare HIM to... you.. just not ideal really. If he ever found out, he'd probably be offended."
The smirk he'd been holding onto finally was released on his face. Much of what he said was exaggertion in one extreme of another. Cloud would probably laugh at him all in good fun for mistaking a girl for him.. it really was the sun's fault! Also, though he did not admit it to himself, this filly was quite the pretty one. Still a little gangly from foalhood, but she had the makings of a gorgeous mare. Of course.. this wasn't running directly through his head, and even if it was, he would be sure to justify as observation. Yeah. It really is a good thing one isn't totally aware of all the thought sequences that run through the brain.
”You know, maybe you should get your eyes checked, if you really thought I was someone you knew… Considering you said ‘dude’ and I’m defiantly not a guy…”
He looked blankly at her, with a sort of "you gotta be kidding me expression", and laughed.
"Me? I think you ought to recommend some shades for the sun, in all honesty. .. it was HIS fault I couldn't see well. I can see clearly enough that you aren't who I was looking for."
The young stallion did a sort of shoulder shrug, as if dismissing the the way the conversation was going. He didn't care for being teased himself.. Val had proven herself well enough, though. Maybe he'd put up with this other filly. Hopefully Cloud didn't hear of this... he would have a fit of laughter then, hah. If anything went Sultan's way, not another soul would find out about his hanging out with a filly. Already she had shown some spunk, and that settled a little something inside him.
”I’m Delarose. Dela for short. And you, my blind friend, are?”
He rolled his eyes at her reference to his "blindness", but said nothing about it. She offered a neutral subject of conversation, and Sultan obliged her.
"I'm Sultan," the colt said, standing a little taller, "I suppose you're new around here... wandering around lost perhaps?"
Sultan chuckled and caught sight of another equine approaching, but paid little more than a minute of attention before Delarose began to speak again, her tone light and friendly, but not quite lacking the mischievous undertone.
”I do say, though... this is the oddest way I have yet to meet another. Though… I think ‘accidentally’ appearing to be a Kelpie, to scare the newcomer to my last herd, was the funniest way to meet someone. Ah, such fond memories.”
The palomino colt blinked at the Kelpie comment. He'd heard maybe two or three stories from other gossiping foals and equines about a Kelpie, but.. she pretended to be one? To frighten a new herd member? That was untypical of a filly. Sultan could not curb a short chuckle that originated from a mental picture of her dressed as a Keplie.
"I'm sure you fit the role well, then."
This new stallion had by now drawn close enough to be able to make out his distinct color and other such details. He had the scent of travel, and as he drew near, Sultan looked him over. He didn't seem a threat, so he would not take him as. The words that the stallion spoke next further confirmed what Sultan suspected.
"I hope I’m not intruding… I am Tertius, a newcomer to these lands."
Sultan gave a curt nod. He knew better than to joke around with adults, especially strange ones.
"Welcome Tertius, welcome to the lands of Air, sir."
The colt gave his head a toss and glanced over to Dela, noting for the first time the jewel that hung amongst her creamy mane. His curiosity was peaked in the strange item, but decided to wait to ask about it until either this stranger became more acquainted or left. Either one didn't matter to him.
Sultan flicked his tail absentmindedly as he waited for replies, ears twitching and senses alert.

This was going to be fun, to say the least. There was something about Sultan that was… almost… likeable. But then again, Let Dela be around you long enough and the girl could find a cougar likeable… No, sorry. It was a mountain lion, named cougar. Dela easily caught up with the colt, her grey eyes falling onto him, and as he glanced at her, she slowed to a stop, waiting for his reply, on who he was looking for. Her tail twitched slightly, as he spoke. Oh… nobody much, really… I’m surprised that I could’ve mistaken him for you… I mean you look nothing alike! At all. Hah… to compare HIM to… you… just not ideal really. If he ever found out, he’d probably be offended. An amused expression had fallen upon Dela’s face, as she let the words sink in, before a smirk settled upon her façade, and an equine eyebrow was raised, ”Oh yes, imagine the horror one would go through, when he learns you saw a female, and the first thought in your head was. Oh, most be him… Yes, I’m sure he would be offended to learn that you think he looks like a filly.” She said with a bright smile, as she purposely twisted his words around, and through them back at him. Seems like she found more then a little fun, Dela might have found an advisory of sorts. That would be… wonderful. Dela grinned pleasantly at his look, at her next words, easily meeting it with a ‘what are you going to do about it’ innocent look of her own. And then… the colt laugh, the soft sounds echoing, and at his words, the filly let out a soft giggle as well, not very loud, but she found amusement in his words.
Me? I think you ought to recommend some shades for the sun, in all honesty… it was HIS fault I couldn’t see well. I can see clearly enough that you aren’t who I was looking for. The filly glanced away, a slight carefree smile on her façade, as she watched him dip his shoulder slightly in a shrug. Dela nodded once, glancing up for a moment, at where Apollo’s chariot was making its ark. ”Apol- I mean, the Sun? Tell it to dim its lights. You know what. I let you tell him that. As long as I get front row tickets to that spectacle. So the sun was in your eyes, dear? Rather clever excuse, I must say. I’ll have to remember that one… And glad we have this case of mistaken identity cleared up now…” She stated like she was discussing the weather. She flipped back her mane slightly, amused, very much so, by this colt. Then he finally gave a name. I’m Sultan, He stated, and the filly smiled, dipping her head in an almost polite greeting, before allowing him to continue, I suppose you’re new around here…. Wandering around lost perhaps. Dela froze, her ears flattening for a second, before she spoke, attempting to keep her tones neutral. ”I am not lost. I am never lost. I am merely… taking a detour… to… somewhere… Anyways,” She said, immediately switching topics, ”It’s a pleasure to meet you, Sultan. Mind if I call you Sully?” She grinned playfully, showing that she as just kidding. ”Ya, I’m new… My mother came here before I, and… sent for me a little over 5 months ago… But I’m not lost! I know… that… she is somewhere… in these terras. See, totally not lost, just taking my time getting to her.” Translation: I’m lost, but that would be admitting vulnerability. I refuse to admit that. Dela was a fighter, a prankster, and a tormentor. Not the other way around. And admitting vulnerability, even to this colt, would be disastrous.
Grey eyes side swept to the stallion, as she let her façade stare into the distance for a moment. Where was her mother? Somewhere, surely? Dela hadn’t seen her mother in over a year, and while she desperately wanted to see the mare again, Dela was having fun exploring this land first. She’d eventually figure things out, but until then… Well, she was going to have fun exploring, and… tormenting Sultan, as well now. Oh! If she could ever see him, when he’s with this ‘pall’ of his. That would be the highlight of Dela’s YEAR! To torture him then… Hmm, she’d have to find out who this Cloud fellow is. Wouldn’t that be a sight. ‘Hello? Are you Cloud? Oh, how do I know you are? Cause your buddy Sultan, thought I was you… Interesting story really. Here, let’s talk, and I can tell you ALL about it… And then you can tell me more screw ups that Sultan has done.’ Oh yes… But the problem with this plan was… Sultan would be her average target. No, there was something in him that spiked her interest already, from his first teasing statement… Yep, he’d be a worthy advisory al right. And he’d defiantly make some decent entertainment, to say the least.
Dela grinned at his next words, her mind’s eye going back to her foal hood pranks. As she has grown, her pranks have too… Such fun, such fun. I’m sure you fit the role well, then. To a Prankster as dedicated as Dela, that was high praise in her books. The filly could have purred with pleasure at the words, instead, she put on a proud smile, and stood as tall as she could, as she grinned coyly, ”Of course I did. I commit to my pranks, nothing is ever half done… There was a rumor going on for TWO months after the incident, about a Kelpie in the lake. My mother thought it was HILARIOUS. The filly said proudly, her grey eyes sparkling with mirth, and amusement. And the worst part was… that was a MILD prank. Dela has done so much worse. But, now her attention was off of Sultan, as she stared at the stallion approaching now. And instantly Dela went into a defensive mood, eyeing the newcomer warily. Dela had little trust in unfamiliar stallions. Why? Well, the filly herself was a product of rape. What do you expect. But still, as her eyes fell upon the dark stallion, his words entered the air. I hope I’m not intruding… Dela shook her head, waiting for him to speak. I am Tertius, a newcomer to these lands.
Dela was watching him nervously, having not met very many unfamiliar adults. Besides. Unclaimed Fillies and Mares… they tended to have to be careful, they weren’t as ‘protected’ as stallions and colts are, when around a strange stallion. Dela pressed down the urge to step closer to Sultan, who was not just her age, but someone she had known even a few more seconds more then this Tertius fellow. But the filly repressed the desire, standing tall, as she listened to Sultan speak. Before she in turn, spoke her own words. ”Greetings, sir. I am called Delarose. Again, Welcome.” She said, having to force herself to make sure her words came out in English. How awkward would it be if she had spoken in Latin? Or Even Spanish? Ya, that would have been a sight to see. Dela glanced sideways at Sultan, her stiff posture giving off her unease about the stallion, but she was already beginning to relax again. After all. It was only a newcomer, liker herself… though… Dela didn’t exactly fit the term ‘newcomer’ seeing as how she had been her for a few months now, merely roaming, because she got tired of searching for her mother so easily. Dela’s mind quickly spun the question, the question of where her mother was, in her mind, before she glanced at the handsome young colt. My story, dear writer. Keep your opinions to your self, please, at her side. Then Dela focused her attention on Tertius once more, waiting to see what would happen now, as she kept herself a little more alert then before. Older, male strangers, defiantly not high up on Dela’s welcome with open arms chart…But, Dela knew to be polite, and knew when to be respectful, she wouldn’t dishonor her grandmother’s teachings, and so, the filly remained silent, and kept herself appearing warm and welcoming towards a traveler, just like Grandmother had taught her.
When he leaves, she could tease Sultan once more… Something she was already looking forward too.

It was apparent I had intruded upon some sort of meeting between these two. A pre-mating ritual perhaps? Lord knows I had courted enough before I so much as thought about asking for such a thing. I studied them both a moment while they finished speaking. The filly, though young, seemed to know she was getting under the colt’s skin; and he didn’t seem to realize she was trying. Hmm. This would be the most strange mating ritual ever. I just hoped they would realize I was there before they got down to it. I didn’t want to be seen as some pedophile or something. I had foals older than both of them, I’m willing to bet. But luck was on my side, and the colt noticed me, and then the filly did the same.
While I do appreciate a polite youth, it would also seem that it wasn’t normal for either of them to have an older male around. Perhaps they weren’t part of a herd? I let the thoughts form a minute before I let them go, deciding I had better say something before I appear struck dumb by their welcome. Just as I was going to speak, I saw the filly tense and shoot a look to the colt who seemed oblivious. I couldn’t help but repress a chuckle. Oh this was going to be absolutely perfect! Back home, we didn’t take mates by force; but I heard that in some herds, that was normal. With the way the filly was acting, this was not one of those herds. It would appear the colt hadn’t “claimed” her as his own mate. Oh yes, too bad horses can’t use video cameras.
Thank you for your welcomes, both of you. I gave a warm smile before taking a step closer. I wanted to see what the filly would do. Certainly she wouldn’t run away like a scared child. She didn’t seem the sort. I shot a glance at the colt, wondering if he would catch on, or if he would believe just as much as the filly.
I could only hope my falsities would be taken for truth for but a moment.
Perhaps “newcomer” isn’t quite the right word. I paused, letting a smile spread across my lips. I have recently claimed a land not too far from here…and have been searching for a mate. I pretended to size up the filly. In truth, she was what a younger stallion would call attractive; but I honestly didn’t want one so young. So, in truth, I am no pedophile.
I stepped closer still and reached out my neck, nipping the filly (gently!) on the shoulder, as a stallion actually claiming a mare would do, though he would be much more rough. I daresay you will do perfectly. I claim you as my own, and you will accompany me to my herd.
Silence fell across my voice as I stared at her, waiting to see what she would do. I was hoping that she would at least look to the colt and confess she liked him. That way, I could get along with my day. I waited a few minutes; long enough for either of them, or perhaps both of them, to give their rebuttals. Oh this was going to be fun!
OOC: Just to clear it up; Tertius is NOT actually claiming Dela; nor is he interested in her. He's just playing around, seeing that Dela was nervous around him. lol... He'll harass them for a bit, and then leave you two to continue your thread. =D

Sultan
As soon as Dela's words left her mouth, Sultan knew she was not quite your ordinary girl. She twisted his words to sound like he meant it to be insulting to Cloud, rather than to her, making his statement completely opposite of what he intended. She gave him a look and he shook his mane out and turned his eyes to the distant trees that waved on the almost constant breeze that blew through Wild Valley in an effort to give her the cold shoulder. She wouldn't take that though, oh no. He should've known that she wasn't the usual type of girl simply by the fact that she was talking up to par with him. Meaning, she was on the same level of sarcasm and jokes as he was, and that made him slightly uncomfortable, as had Val, though in a different way. She is a bit happier...
”Apol- I mean, the Sun? Tell it to dim its lights. You know what. I let you tell him that. As long as I get front row tickets to that spectacle. So the sun was in your eyes, dear? Rather clever excuse, I must say. I’ll have to remember that one… And glad we have this case of mistaken identity cleared up now…”
Had she almost called the sun... something other than it was? Haha.. maybe she was one of those types that seemed to like to call the king and queen of light by specific names. A rather strange quirk, if you asked Sultan.
"Well I can tell that you won't be letting that unfortunate event pass easily. But then again, I may not ever see you again after today.."
His tone was slightly sarcastic. Sultan turned back to Dela with an even expression on his face. She described herself as a prankster, and that in itself was enough to wonder how Cloud would respond to this filly. Val had gained a rather.. positive response from the young unicorn stallion, and Sultan leaned towards the opinion that Dela would have been kindly received as well. Sultan absentmindedly nodded his head in agreement to his thoughts. Cloud always had been the kinder equine of the two of them.
In response to his name, Dela gave a gesture of kindness. Sultan was still rather confused by this mare. Sarcastic and a tease-monster one minute and rather nice and mild, a normal filly, Sultan the next. No, the fact that she would willingly put herself out there and prank other equines made her stand out a tiny bit from other fillies, but what did he care?
”I am not lost. I am never lost. I am merely… taking a detour… to… somewhere… Anyways it’s a pleasure to meet you, Sultan. Mind if I call you Sully?"
Sultan flipped his ears back, his expression clearly saying that she'd better not. Not even Cloud shortened his name unless he wanted to get a good clobbering. His attitude quickly changed at her stumbling over explaining her erotic traveling behaviour. Lost eh? A tiny smirk slinked across his muzzle, enjoying the fact that she wasn't totally sure where she was. That presented a couple of potential jokes he could pull on her.. say the "go this way for such and such a place" when actually it led somewhere completely different. But then.. would she be aware of him trying to pull that... it might be better to just tell the truth and make her think he was joking, and in that case it'd be more embarrassing for her. Heh.
"Ya, I’m new… My mother came here before I, and… sent for me a little over 5 months ago… But I’m not lost! I know… that… she is somewhere… in these terras. See, totally not lost, just taking my time getting to her.”
The young palomino stallion chuckled at her minor insecurity. Being lost wasn't always a bad thing, depending where you were. It could hold many opportunities for adventure, and also the chance to simply have a change in scenery... and that helped refresh the mind. The thought that his own mother might know where Dela's mother resided briefly crossed his mind, but help a filly directly? Highly unlikely.
”Of course I did. I commit to my pranks, nothing is ever half done… There was a rumor going on for TWO months after the incident, about a Kelpie in the lake. My mother thought it was HILARIOUS."
Sultan had a notion that she knew exactly what he had been talking about, but decided to twist it around and sound like a compliment. She'd already done that a couple times since he started talking to her, and it frustrated him a little. Take a joke and fire back, if you want, but don't manipulate everything. Sultan realized now that if she ever met up with Cloud, a good part of his reputation was in danger. It wasn't like he never screwed up; he did. And so did Cloud. But those instances were between just the two of them, and they could make fun of each other all they wanted. But.. if Dela were to tell Cloud of this little misunderstanding, it would be different! Not something that both colts could laugh about.. but something different..
He shook his head and resolved to keep her away from Cloud if it took every ounce of cunning and power that was in him. It wasn't that he cared about his "reputation" as much as discovering something that would indeed be a challenge, if Dela was anything like she claimed.
The strange stallion now claimed his thoughts and attention.. atleast most of it.
"Thank you for your welcomes, both of you. "
Sultan gave a curt nod and gave him another once-over, trying to detect if there was anything to be cautious of, but nothing showed up on his radar. This relaxed the young stallion and he was about to begin speaking again when Tertius spoke first. What was it with people knowing when he was about to say something?
"Perhaps “newcomer” isn’t quite the right word. I paused, letting a smile spread across my lips. I have recently claimed a land not too far from here…and have been searching for a mate."
The young stallion couldn't miss the stallion's lingering gaze directed towards Dela, no, actually, he blatantly sized her up, and Sultan could just imagine what was going through his mind, or so he thought. He was rather amused by the fact that Dela had so easily gotten herself an admirer, and debated whether or not he should actually trot off just for fun. He didn't have a very good idea on how she'd react, though, and he also had no idea how the strange stallion would react. That little thought allowed a rather horrifying idea. Neither knew anything about this strange guy, really, and there was a possibility he could be a rapist or something. Now, Sultan wasn't the type to go to all lengths to pull a joke on someone; he knew there was a line, and he didn't allow himself to intentionally cross it.
He said nothing as he watched the first advance on Dela, but a small frown crossed his face. Sultan had been raised decently enough to know that he was supposed to treat a girl respectfully... and he did, usually. Well, if you can call pranking respectful. It was different from what this "Tert" guy was doing. And you'd think he'd have some decency to wait atleast until Sultan was gone!
"I daresay you will do perfectly. I claim you as my own, and you will accompany me to my herd."
Sultan almost did a double take. The words that were issued from this weirdo's mouth were concerning! Claiming a mare?! Who the heck did that nowadays? The colt let his displeasure display across his features without shame. You just didn't use a mare like that.. even if said mare was threatening to chase down Cloud and let him know what had taken place.
"Look here, weirdo! I think by the way you look, you're old. And she's my age.. isn't that just a little creepy? Besides, stallions don't "claim" mares around here.. just ask my mother. If she found out you were trying to claim a mare that was your junior by.. well.. however much.. she'd strip the land you recently claimed from you. Besides.. didn't your mother teach you anything?"
Sultan blinked a couple times and stared coldly and evenly at Tertius. The young stallion had realized what he'd just done.. defend a mare? Yeah.. he just did that... that makes about two or three embarrassing things done around Dela. Great. If she ever figured out who Cloud was.. well. Sultan might just go solitary for a day or two. He knew that it hadn't been a wrong move, per say... if anyone else's eyes, it was probably the best thing to do, but not to Sultan. He'd been slightly ruffled by Tertius' behaviour, but a glance at Dela told him that she had taken the thing a bit more deeply.. in a bad way.
He fought an inner battle and stood awkwardly, flipping his tail frequently in an effort to calm his nerves. He'd just made himself look like a sissy for defending a mare that really didn't need defending, but at the same time, if he'd just stood there and backed up.. he'd feel guilty for not doing anything. What WAS he supposed to do? He was sure that his mother would be proud of him, but the opinion of his peers stood a little higher above his mothers' opinion. He enjoyed the fact that his presence made most younger equines avoid him because they were a little scared of the things he and Cloud often pulled.. and any mare that had him as a son would probably be quite happy to see that he'd helped "protect" a filly.. but he wasn't happy about that. He felt foolish, and could feel a light blush creep up his neck, barely visible against his darker palomino color.
To distract himself from his thoughts, he refreshed the glare that was focused on Tertius. He now had a plausible reason for glaring at him. The older stallion had had him look like a fool. Sultan dared not look at Dela again lest he refuel the awkwardness and particular dislike he had toward females at the moment.

|:. Delarose .:| That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone I’ll be waiting all there's left to do is run You be the prince and i’ll be the princess Its a love story baby just say yes
Dela would be lying if she was to tell you that she hadn’t gotten a slight thrill at the conversation that she and Sultan where havening. Okay maybe thrill isn’t the ‘right’ word… but it was sill kind of fun according to the filly. And the filly bit back a laugh as he attempted to turn, in order to give her the cold shoulder. A roll of her eyes and an amused grin was all that befell her façade though. There was something to be amused by, when one could talk with another, and play around like this. And it only made it more amusing by the fact that… apparently the poor colt hadn’t been expecting it. Hmm, seems like he learned quick enough… Or at least, Dela hoped if he didn’t, that he would. But soon the colt, whom she later learn is Sultan, spoke again, ”Well I can tell you won’t be letting that unfortunate even pass easily. But then again, I may to ever see you again after today…” Slight sarcasm dripped from his words, and the filly looked at him quite calmly, despite the words thrown at her, but a slight sparkle had evaded her grey eyes, which only strengthened the unnerving gleam, when the young colt had dipped his head almost absent-mindedly, as he had fallen silent, and the filly took the time to speak her own words to the colt. ”Darling, do you know how often one encounters an equine who presumes them to be another? Not very often. I’d rather fly to Hades, then let this rest. Besides, I’m sure this ‘Cloud’ fellow would be interested in knowing that his friend mistook a FILLY for him. But, suppose we never meet up again, you’re thoughts will still be constantly swimming around me, wondering if I will ever meet this ‘Cloud’ and if I should ever talk about this… incident.” Now, don’t take Dela’s words wrong. She wasn’t threatening young Sultan, no, she was merely pointing out one of the possibilities-the worse possibility-of what would happen, when they leave each other’s presences. And, it gave her an amused thrill, at just how we would react to this. He didn’t seem to be the ‘friendly’ type. But then again, Dela wasn’t really ‘complaining.’ She was merely looking, and judging upon his behaviors, and if anything, all his behavior really told her was this – He was going to be a fun little companion for her, for the time being.
Dela kept playing around, giggling and having fun, and when she asked if she could call him Sully, well, she full out grinned at his response. His ears had flipped back, and his expression, well it was one that brought the expression, ‘if looks could kill,’ to ones mind. And if looks COULD kill, well, that one might have murdered Dela three times over. She positively beamed at the darker palomino colored colt. ”Hmm, from you’re look… well, I think you don’t mind at all!” She said, clearly amused. She trotted closer, testing the limits, just a bit, before she spoke again, ”You know what, Sully I think the nickname fits.” She said, as mischievous as an imp. Then before he could react, she licked his cheek, and was quickly back in her original spot. Oh yes, she was planning on breaking all the rules that came with this game. Then… he declared that she was… lost. She was far from lost the word ‘detour’ came to mind, or maybe ‘missing in action’… Yes, Dela was merely MIA. But defiantly not ‘lost.’ But oh, at her words, that smirk… She narrowed her eyes at him, even as she stood, glaring at him. His entire expression said, ‘prepare for hell, now.’ And then he had the audacity to actually ‘chuckle’ at the fact that she was so lost, so confused about… where was she again? Wind Valley right? Or… no, she’s defiantly not lost.
And then she had responded to the ‘Kelpie’ taunt. But despite one’s thoughts that she had twisted his words purposely to make it out as a compliment, the filly had done it unknowingly. She was like the popular girl at school. You could say what ever you wanted about her, and she would just shrug, smile at you, and say ‘oh thanks…that’s so sweet.’ Yep, Dela to a “T” But either way, the young filly was defiantly having fun with this ‘meeting.’ She smiled at Sultan, that impish spark still hidden in the swirling, smoky depths of her grey orbs, as if daring him to try and mess with her another way. Words don’t work.
Then, the other stallion, this new, older, equine spoke up, thanking them both for their welcome. Dela nodded towards him, a slight, graceful dip of her head, that managed to un bed the jewel in her mane, so that it caught the light slightly, before she raised her tiara once again. Then… the stallion did something that not only freaked the young filly out, but enough that she took a step closer to Sultan, actually took a step closer. Her eyes narrowed dangerously, as the stallion obviously let his gaze roam over her, in a way humans would refer as ‘checking her out.’ Oh, Dela was not pleased. And there was a slight amused look in Sultan’s eyes that upset Dela more. This was not a laughing matter. It was scary for a mare, when a random stallion, whom you just met, totally checks you out, sizing you up. Not to mention he was probably a billion times older then she. Oh… wait till her momma hears about this! But of course… it was going to be worse… She stared at him alarm as he nipped her shoulder, declaring she’d be perfect, and claimed her! The bastard actually claimed her! Pure shock, alarm, and anger fought for dominance over her façade, and eventually shock, with alarm won, as she stared at him, her eyes declaring her silent words ‘Oh no you didn’t.’ But before she could speak, Sultan was already speaking, his own tones angry, and cold. ”Look here, weirdo! I think by the way you look, you’re old. And she’s my age… isn’t that just a little creepy? Besides, stallions don’t “claim” mares around here… just ask my mother. If she found out you were trying to claim a mare that was you junior by… well… however much… she’d strip the land you recently claimed from you. Besides… didn’t your mother teach you anything?” His tones were icy, as he stared coldly, evenly at Tertius, and Dela just stood attempting to figure things out. There was no way she just got claimed. Then her own cold tones came out, not the playful ones from earlier… No, her tones now betrayed anger, mixed with a tint of alarm.
”Excuse me! You think you can just show up here, and attempt to ‘claim’ me? How do you know I’m not claimed already? And further more, like Sultan said, claiming just doesn’t really happen around here! I don’t know who his mother is, but I know my own mother wouldn’t be pleased to hear of some, what, thousand year old stallion claiming me!” She knew it was rude to have called him a thousand years old, but she was angry, and alarmed, and when those two emotions mixed, well, you don’t keep your words in check anymore. You just let yourself speak. Dela rolled the shoulder that had been nipped slightly, and for once, was thankful that she hadn’t been gone from he home lands too long, aroma of the rest of her previous herd still clung to her coat, stale, but they still were there. Dela glared at him, not noticing what ever was going on with the colt beside her, her eyes were fully focused on Tertius. But, though Dela wouldn’t admit. She was secretly relieved to have another here, backing her up. She wasn’t pleased by the prospect of being ‘claimed,’ and she didn’t like older stallions anyways, they unnerved her, and as she glanced at Sultan, she saw him standing there, and a tint of blush could be seen, barely, through his coat, but his orbs were on the stallion in front of them. She shook her head slightly, before turning to look at Tertius. Her eyes were full of contempt, as she tried to get herself under control. She didn’t know what would happen next, but Dela was ready to take it on.
I just want you to know. I wanna be your Romeo. Hey Juliet

I’ll admit, I didn’t much care for being called old. I was older, yes, but certainly not old. But I forget…youth cannot see things that way. Instead of getting angry, I merely listened, a look of interest in my eyes as the colt ranted and raved about the filly. Oh yes, these two would definitely go far in life. Maybe they didn’t see it, but it took someone old to see things they didn’t. They must really care for each other, even if the emotions haven’t run through their heads yet. I let a small smile appear on my lips, remembering my first mate. She was a beautiful thing. And yes, we were about the same age. I am no pedophile, mind you. She had a sharp tongue just like this filly does.
My mother taught me plenty. But it was my father that made a point. You’ll never win a mare over by tossing clover her way. If you want her, you’ve got to take her. I hoped the colt wouldn’t honestly believe this nonsense. Obviously, if he hadn’t claimed the filly, he wasn’t going to. That was good. He would let the mare decide. That was an admirable quality in a colt. I watched the colt’s nervous habits of flicking his tail. Oh yes, he was angry now. And judging by the slight color change up his neck, he felt silly. I did, honestly, feel bad that he had taken this so badly. And no, child, you did not look like a “sissy” for defending a mare. You were valiant, doing something most stallions would not. Most would allow the mare to be taken away to become no more than a number in a harem. Good for you, boy.
Dela spoke and it was obvious she was angry. The alarm was very apparent as well. I had definitely shocked her. She then called me old as well. I rolled my eyes and snorted. Old? I am not old! I am in my prime – my coat shining brilliantly in the sunlight; very few twigs and brambles in my mane and tail. I take pride in keeping a clean appearance. I did not have that sallow, sunken-in look like the old ones do. I am a healthy weight; not fat, not thin. I am well-muscled for an Arabian. All in all, I am a regular stud-muffin.
If you’ve quite finished….? I paused, letting the question hang in the air. If they had more insults, I’d let them finish before I explain myself. When I spoke, my tone was not quite admonishing, but not quite the happy-go-lucky tone I just held. For one with such a quick wit that boasts such playfulness, you sure aren’t very playful. I’d let the comment rest for but a moment before I continue. I’ll reaffirm that I am not angry, nor are my tones cold. And you don’t seem to pick up on body language very well. A slight hint of a smile played at the edges of my lips. Had you paid a little closer attention, you would have seen there was no arrogance nor authority being displayed. Merely a sense of playful calm. In truth, I had not shown the normal displays of a stallion claiming a mare. I had not shown my teeth, I had now pawed at the earth, or chased Sultan off. I had not been rough with Dela, nor had I herded her towards a land. I let the thought sink in for a moment before a chuckle erupted from my lips.
I’m sorry. Perhaps my own sense of joking was a bit too extreme. No, child, I have no romantic interest in one as young as you. You seemed to have such a wonderful sense of humor, I had to find out. I shook my head, the smile still playing my lips. And you, boy, could be a regular Casanova. I chuckled again. I trust I did not nip too hard? I hadn’t tasted blood, nor had I had much fur (aside from perhaps the top layer of winter fuzz) in my mouth, so I assumed it was more an irritating gesture than an actual nip.
I really do apologize…it has been quite some time since I have been around others. My voice took on a sad note. But I suppose you don’t want to hear an old stallion’s stories. I grinned again.
By the way… Oh jeez…here comes love advice from the ever-watchful Tertius. Run. Run now while you have the time. You two could have something special. You may not see it, being so young; but if the colt hadn’t cared for you, do you think he would have stepped in to protect you like he did? I remembered the slight blush the colt had displayed, and I turned my eyes to him. Stop blushing, boy. It’s very noble. You’ll go places. I smiled; a warm and appraising smile. But now, I suppose it’s time for this old boy to find a place in the world. I winked. You two enjoy yourselves. I chuckled softly again, letting the memories of my youth return to my mind as I turned to leave.
ooc: if you want to continue the thread just the 2 of you, Tertius'll leave. Otherwise, he'll stay. Whatever ya'll want.

Sultan
Sultan couldn't quite believe the streak of unluckiness he'd come across. First, Val, and now Dela. If he didn't know better, he might've thought that fate had a sense of humor. Or maybe that he just needed to branch out and get some other friends now that the Air nation was growing.. and quite rapidly at that. But then, though he tried not to admit it, Delarose presented a breath of fresh air, as far as fillies go. She had already turned out to be quite unlike what Sultan had expected when he first saw her... in more ways than one. First mistaking her for Cloud.. boy he was never going to live that one down as long as Dela was around.. and if she ever found Cloud, well, then it was inevitable he live with the reminder of his mistake. But she wouldn't!! Oh no.. not if he could help it.
”Darling, do you know how often one encounters an equine who presumes them to be another? Not very often. I’d rather fly to Hades, then let this rest. Besides, I’m sure this ‘Cloud’ fellow would be interested in knowing that his friend mistook a FILLY for him. But, suppose we never meet up again, you’re thoughts will still be constantly swimming around me, wondering if I will ever meet this ‘Cloud’ and if I should ever talk about this… incident.”
Her points were valid, and Sultan knew that, without forethought, Cloud would think the whole mistaken identity thing stinkin' hilarious. Yes, the young stallion was quite aware of these things, but he was determined, and determination paid off. A smug expression crossed his face as he watched Dela in her giggling fit, her voice light and airy.
"Well.. watchin' you fly to Hades would be rather amusing I must say! You do that and then I'll go let the sun know that he ought to put a pair of sunglasses on once in awhile to save us poor horses from his radiance."
Sultan chuckled and shook his mane out. Dela amused him, to say the least. She was full of spirit and life, and nobody could deny that. Though he hated to admit it, she knew how to push someone's buttons. He could imagine that she got a significant amount of pleasure by watching the results of her actions. Just like the way she was responding now to his rather negative response to her calling him "Sully". Oh how he hated it. Not even his mother called him that, and that was saying something..
”Hmm, from you’re look… well, I think you don’t mind at all! You know what, Sully I think the nickname fits.”
She had moved closer, an impish grin plastered on her face. By the looks of it, she was thoroughly enjoying herself, and knowing her, she probably knew, or atleast had an idea, that she was sucking him out of his comfort zone. No, the lick totally pointed to the fact that she KNEW she was pulling him right on out. Sultan shook his head and spluttered, rubbing his cheek against his right foreleg.
"What'd.. what'd you do THAT for?! Grosss!"
He watched her warily from the corner of his eye while continuing to rub his cheek vigorously against his leg. This girl had guts.. and he wouldn't put it past her to do something else too, what, he had no idea, but still.
An idea suddenly dawned on Sultan, though. What if he reacted different from how he normally would? That might throw her off a little. He grinned in spite of himself, throwing his head back and letting loose a powerful laugh. This would be fun.
"Well then.. I guess if you're going to shorten my name, I'll shorten yours to... hmm.. Rose? Is that fitting? I'd say it is! Some roses do grow pale golden like yourself. Quite fitting I think."
A smirk tripped across his muzzle as he watched for her reaction. Surely she wouldn't be expecting him to toss a less sarcastic comeback.. and if she did.. oh well. It wasn't like it'd change his life. He grew excited at the prospect of perhaps pulling her out of her comfort zone... she had begun pulling him out with an ease that had quite subtle. Perhaps jumping the rest of the way would unsettle her and, in turn, push her out of her own. Ahahah... oh how Sultan loved his life!
Dela was smiling once again, her eyes dancing, taunting, almost begging him to try something else. Oh, he would so be taking her up on that one.. just.. only once this Tert guy was gone.
Sultan had only been wary of him at first, but after what he was attempting on Dela.. it just made him feel awkward, and suspicious. Dela's reaction had come as no surprise to him.. who wouldn't react as she had.. or worse? The stallion was lucky she hadn't struck out at him, too... Sultan had heard stories of such things. Dela had moved closer to him, though the fact had barely penetrated his brain at the moment.
”Excuse me! You think you can just show up here, and attempt to ‘claim’ me? How do you know I’m not claimed already? And further more, like Sultan said, claiming just doesn’t really happen around here! I don’t know who his mother is, but I know my own mother wouldn’t be pleased to hear of some, what, thousand year old stallion claiming me!”
Sultan nodded in agreement, leveling a nice glare at the older stallion. It wasn't the most respectful thing to do, but then again, Sultan wasn't one to always think before he did things. The wait for Tertius to try to "defend" himself came quicker than he expected.. and it actually wasn't a defense.. it was.. and explanation? Sultan quit glaring and looked at Tertius with a rather puzzled expression.
"If you’ve quite finished….? ...For one with such a quick wit that boasts such playfulness, you sure aren’t very playful... and you don’t seem to pick up on body language very well. Had you paid a little closer attention, you would have seen there was no arrogance nor authority being displayed. Merely a sense of playful calm."
The young palomino stallion thought back and realized that Tertius was indeed right; he'd been mindless in his reaction, but.. who wouldn't? Sultan wasn't the most observant equine in the world though.. he blamed himself for being so stupid, but then again, chances are he wouldn't have read Tert's body language particularly well even if he had been aware of the calm and precise way that he had presented himself. But that didn't minimize some of the anger that Sultan felt. It was a nasty trick to say the least.. even Sultan wasn't that bad. The thought wouldn't have crossed his mind. Okay, well.. if there was a filly trying to catch his attention he might play along similar lines, but.. thats a different situation! Entirely different.
"I’m sorry. Perhaps my own sense of joking was a bit too extreme. No, child, I have no romantic interest in one as young as you. You seemed to have such a wonderful sense of humor, I had to find out. And you, boy, could be a regular Casanova. I trust I did not nip too hard?"
A couple blank blinks were sent in Tertius' direction. Casanova? Why was he referring to Sultan as that...? He had no interest in females.. especially not in a romantic sense. It was strange how one could change faces so quickly... Sultan imagined that if he'd walked on the scene right at that moment, he'd assume that it was just a friendly exchange or something... but he knew better.
"I really do apologize…it has been quite some time since I have been around others. But I suppose you don’t want to hear an old stallion’s stories."
Sultan smirked slightly, but felt no shame at the grin on Tertius' muzzle. The stallion seemed to indeed have just been joking, but Sultan was definitely still not quite what you'd call welcoming. He truly, honestly, didn't know what to make of this older equine, and it showed plainly on his face.
"By the way… You two could have something special. You may not see it, being so young; but if the colt hadn’t cared for you, do you think he would have stepped in to protect you like he did? Stop blushing, boy. It’s very noble. You’ll go places. But now, I suppose it’s time for this old boy to find a place in the world. You two enjoy yourselves."
Sultan's ears stood rigidly in their place, shocked at what had just come out of Tertius' mouth. Of all the impertinent.... The colt flipped his ears backwards at Tertius' comments. Something special? Cared for her? What?!" It was embarrassing enough to have the older stallion notice his blushing.. ugh! Why had he attempted to "protect", as Tertius had termed it, Delarose? It was simply because there was a line to be drawn in teasing, and fake claiming was well beyond it. The young colt couldn't help but shake his head incredulously at the stallion. How could he percept that there was something between him and Dela? There was nothing!
"Well.. the only thing I can say to that is that you're dead wrong. Dela and I met not one hour ago.. there's nothing and won't be anything. I don't even like girls."
He shrugged and grinned, nodding as Tertius bid his farewell. Very strange fellow... Glancing back to Dela, he gave her a sheepish look.
" I don't know how the heck he could think that.. hahah.. he's illusional, thats what he is. Very strange fellow, don't you think? Hah. You know, I bet you feel better knowing that you aren't the only loon around here."
Sultan chuckled lightly, prancing away a few paces just to keep within a safe distance of Dela. Who knows what she had up her sleeve.

Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone I’ll be waiting all there's left to do is run You be the prince and i’ll be the princess Its a love story baby just say yes
Dela couldn’t help but be pleased by the first stallion she had come across was such an interesting companion. No, pardon… Colt, the first colt she had come across. This was going to be so much fun. She was so excited to have such… amusing company, who seemed to actually be listening to her. She knew so by his response to her words about the possibility of ever speaking to Cloud. He didn’t seem too happy about that idea. But of course that wasn’t what he commented on. ”Well… watchin’ you fly to Hades would be amusing I must say! You do that and then I’ll go let the sun know that he ought to put a pair of sunglasses on once in awhile to save us poor horses from his radiance.” I snickered, even as he shook out his pretty white mane… No, I’m not calling him attractive, I just think it looks pretty… What ever. Anyways, Sully was an amusing companion, and I giggled at his words. ”Okay! Sure! And I’ll fly to Hades, when Zeus grants me wings!” I said with amusement, my grey eyes sparkling for an instant. ”I’ll make sure that this Cloud person will be there to watch too.” I told him with a smirk. I glanced at him, my grey eyes flashing with amusement. This was fun. And his reaction to me licking him. It couldn’t have been more perfect. I mean! It was hilarious. As Dela licked the colt, she grinned as he began to rub his cheek against his fore leg, and she giggled happily. ”What’d… what’d you do THAT for?! Gross!” Dela grinned, shifting from one foot to the other, very pleased with herself. ”One would think you didn’t like it, Sully, dear.” She said with a smirk, before tossing back her mane, the crystal once more catching the light slightly. She grinned as he continued to rub his cheek, and she began to plot what to do next.
But of course, then he shortened her name. ”Well then… I guess if you’re going to shorten /my/ name, I’ll shorten yours to… hmm… Rose? Is that fitting? I’d say it is! Some roses do grow pale gold like yourself. Quite fitting I think.” All amusement fell from her place, instead being replaced by anger, and a hint of pain in her eyes. Only one horse ever called her Rose, and that was her grandfather, and only he was ever allowed to call her Rose. No one had even dared to after he had died in the greater fire of the Valley. Dela glared at Sultan, slowly stalking forward, ”Don’t you ever… I repeat, ever, call me Rose. It is Dela or Delarose. Nothing else. Am I understood, Sully.” The mare said, her grey eyes going practically silver from her anger. She wanted nothing more then to wipe that smirk of his face. How dare he even think he could call her Rose. No one could call her that. Not even her mother called her Rose. The tiny mare was almost ready to kill a certain colt named Sultan. Calling her Rose, definitely had taken her out for a lope though. But still, she couldn’t explain the hint of blush that had climbed to her cheeks, hidden by her anger of course, when he had dared to call her Rose. Stupid colt…
But soon it was like everything was forgotten, and she was taunting and teasing, pleased with herself, until the freaky old guy decided to come into play. And as she spoke, she couldn’t help but feel slightly relieved when Sultan stood by her, glaring at the stallion, and agreeing. And then Tertius gave his… ‘defense.’ Dela stared at him, her eyes narrowing. ”If you’ve quite finished…? …For one with such a quick wit that boasts such playfulness, you sure aren’t very playful… and you don’t seem to pick up on body language very well. Had you paid a little closer attention, you would have seen there was no arrogance nor authority being displayed. Merely a sense of playful calm.” Dela stared at the stallion, before her mouth fell open in horrified surprise, before glanced at Sultan with a ‘Can you believe this shit?’ look. She then turned as he continued to speak. ”I’m sorry perhaps my own sense of joking was a bit too extreme.” Ya think? She glared again. ”No, child, I have no romantic interest in one as young as you. You seemed to have such a wonderful sense of humor, I had find out. And you, boy, could be a regular Casanova. I trust I did not nip too hard.” She rolled her eyes, snorting at the idea of Sultan being a Casanova. It was almost laughable. Then he continued to speak, ”I really do apologize…it has been quite some time since I have been around others. But I suppose you don’t want to hear an old stallion’s stories.” No, she didn’t. She wanted him to leave. He had embarrassed her. In front of Sultan too… wait, no, she didn’t care about that… what ever. Then he spoke again, ”By the way… You two could have something special. You may not see it, being so young; but if the colt hadn’t cared for you, do you think he would have stepped in to protect you like he did? Stop blushing, boy. It’s very noble. You’ll go places. But now, I suppose it’s time for this old boy to find a place in the world. You two enjoy yourself.”
Dela stared in shock at the stallion, as his works sunk in. He, Sultan, care for her. Ya right, and she have something special for HIM not even Aphrodite could make such a thing happen. Dela stared in shock before she sputtered slightly, shaking her head. ”No, sir. You most be confused! As Sultan said, there is nothing going on. We barely just met.” But a smirk was on her face, as she waited till Tertius left. Once he left, Sultan had turned to her, to speak. ”I don’t know how the heck he could think that… hahah… he’s illusional, that’s what he is. Very strange fellow, don’t you think? Hah. You know, I bet you feel better knowing that you aren’t the only loon around here.” Dela glared as he pranced away, then a smirk appeared on her muzzle, and she trotted closer, pressing up against his form, to reach up and whisper in his aud, ”Ah yes, I know I’m not the only freak. And I’m sure… you’ll find another gay horse like yourself around these parts, I mean… Surely there is another stallion around these parts who will willingly say ‘I don’t even like girls.’” She was NEVER going to let that go either. ”Does Cloud know you’re gay? No, wait. Let me guess, you are looking for him cause he’s your gay lover. Right.” As Dela’s side began to grow warmer, she felt herself still pressed up against Sultan, so she decided to press it a step farther. ”Yes, a rather shame you’re gay too…” She said, as she stepped around, him circling him close enough that when she flicked her tail, it brushed over him. A smirk slithered across her muzzle, as she sidled up next to him again. [b]”But I’m sure you are rather happy with your choice. I mean, it’s always the girly stallions that tend to… have an alternate life choice. Right, Sully, dear? Maybe some time, we could discuss ways to make our manes more shiny, and which colts are more handsome. Quite a fun idea no?
She giggled as she finally pulled away from him, standing where she had before, and gave him a pretty little grin, as she tilted her head, causing her creamy white fore tresses to fall over one grey eye. She smirked at him, raising an equinic eyebrow as she waited for his response against her… teasing, and manipulating words. How fun this is becoming. But of course, it annoyed her at being called a loon. But she’d deal with that in a second. Right now, she was looking forward to his response to her ‘words’ and to her ‘forward’ actions This was indeed… Fun.

Sultan
”Okay! Sure! And I’ll fly to Hades, when Zeus grants me wings! I’ll make sure that this Cloud person will be there to watch too.”
Sultan laughed at her statement. They all knew it was impossible and never going to happen, but... there's no harm in joking, right? Light, pleasant joking.. no harm done! Everyone in life needed to have a little joke now and then, a little good cheer and some sprinklings of happiness to encourage them in life, to let them know that life isn't all bad.
Licking.. well.. that was gross. Whatever little bug that weaseled its way into her brain must've been successful in locating a special piece that processes decency. Gross. He bet she wouldn't have liked HIM licking her on the cheek.. in fact, Sultan probably would've minded it less than she would have.
”One would think you didn’t like it, Sully, dear.”
Sultan narrowed his eyes at her use of a nickname that he hated. It was so... coltish and... mushy. Lovers would use that sorta nickname between themselves, really, so Sultan was NOT amused.
"Oh, I'm not, obviously. Who would want to be called something so mushy? That sorta nickname is for lovers."
A deep smirk crossed Sultan's dark muzzle as he posed in what he thought was a "sexy stance". It wasn't, of course, but there was no harm in getting a little sarcasm and laughter out of a situation. When he mentioned a possible nickname for Delarose, he got quite a negative reaction out of her, and laugh he must. Seeing HER upset, for a change, was nice, he must admit.
”Don’t you ever… I repeat, ever, call me Rose. It is Dela or Delarose. Nothing else. Am I understood, Sully.”
The colt flicked his ears back a bit, slightly swayed by her uncharacteristic anger. He'd obviously hit a sour chord, but she still seemed keen on calling him Sully. He frowned but said nothing in response. He'd already had enough with angry mares recently. Somehow, he was beginning to think that perhaps he'd acquired a magnet that attracted strange, unnatural mares... different types, but the same in a different sense.
Tertius was speaking, and Dela was blatantly not happy about it. She glanced at the palomino colt with an incredulous expression. Sultan was sure that this older stallion's revelations were relieving, though the colt couldn't figure out why, but irritation-inducing as well. Being so mean? Sultan wasn't even that bad.. but then again, the thought had never crossed his mind. At the mention of being a couple, Dela was just as shocked as he was, and the dropped jaws said it all. After a nice sputtering effect, Dela spoke what was both on their minds.
”No, sir. You most be confused! As Sultan said, there is nothing going on. We barely just met.”
Maybe a little less than what was on Sultan's mind, but still. It was close enough.
The colt watched Tertius' retreating frame and spoke his mind on the whole ordeal. Tertius was quite assumtious, if anything, and that bothered him. Sultan was not happy about the conclusion that Tertius had drawn from, apparently, watching his and Dela's interaction. Sultan snorted at the thought... he knew that whenever he was old like Tertius, he'd never accuse a young pair of friends.. well, maybe not quite friends.. let's just say strangers, of being an item, because really... he'd know nothing about a few strangers!
Sultan was letting these things run through his mind, and was rather preoccupied with said thoughts, though, Dela's body suddenly putting pressure on his own jolted him out of his thoughts, and he stared at her with a rather confused look. What.. was she doing?
”Ah yes, I know I’m not the only freak. And I’m sure… you’ll find another gay horse like yourself around these parts, I mean… Surely there is another stallion around these parts who will willingly say ‘I don’t even like girls.’
He audiblly groaned at her words. There was always something awkward she would pick up on. If it wasn't his actions, it was his words. What did this female do all day? And now.. now look at him! Stuck in the mud with no place to go.. literally.
”Does Cloud know you’re gay? No, wait. Let me guess, you are looking for him cause he’s your gay lover. Right. Yes, a rather shame you’re gay too…”
If he moved away, her assumptions on his "gayness" were sure to be supposedly "confirmed". If he stayed where he was, maybe she'd get the idea that Tertius was alluding to was true. But it wasn't! NONE of it was! How the heck do I get myself into these situations... I will seriously never hear the end of this...
The palomino stood where he was, his muscles tense against Dela's sliding body, and eyes screwed shut to the visualization of her smirks. He'd have sewn his ears shut too, if he could, in order to hide her tone. What had gotten into this girl?! That weasel was certainly taking over her brain. Maybe she was bipolar or something... switching her personalities from jokestar and prankster to seductress or something.. ugh! Sultan shivered at the thought.
”But I’m sure you are rather happy with your choice. I mean, it’s always the girly stallions that tend to… have an alternate life choice. Right, Sully, dear? Maybe some time, we could discuss ways to make our manes more shiny, and which colts are more handsome. Quite a fun idea no?
Sultan drew in a shaky breath as she finally unglued herself from him. He unscrewed his eyelids from his eyes only to see her smirking and looking quite the innocent thing over where she had been standing before. He gave her an bored glare and tried to think up something to say in order to defend himself. Drawing a breath, he commenced.
"First of all, I am NOT gay.. not by a fat chance, little DelaROSE. I honestly hope you're joking, because I realize nothing I say is going to convince you of anything."
Add another glare here.
"Second, I am determined to NEVER let you see Cloud, because I know you will not hesitate to tell him of a few verbal mistakes." He paused here with a thoughtful look on his face. "No.. actually. It probably wouldn't matter if you saw him or not. Chances are he'd laugh, true, but he'd laugh harder knowing that you were fake claimed by an old stallion. HAH. I knew all along it was a joke, of course, but I played along in order to help create the mood. Can you imagine what he could've potentially done if it had been real?! Ohh I would've loved to see that."
Sultan chuckled at himself, while continuing to pace back and forth, his steps measured and precise.
"Please, dearest Dela, let me know if there's anything I can do to prove to you that I'm not gay.. though, with your dense mind I wouldn't be surprised if even anything I could do would convince you enough!"
A couple thoughts ran through Sultan's mind at the completion of that statement, and he mentally kicked himself. Another blunder with words.. what was happening, for real? He would totally make a fool out of himself if he didn't fix it. Deciding to give Dela a taste of her own medicine, he let a cool, sly grin appear on his facade as he took a few steps closer to her, his gait loose and easy.
".. Although.. actually I have a better idea. You have no need to tell me to do anything, really. Perhaps I can let you know without you having to say anything at all.. hmmm?"
His tones were low and sultry in a manly sort of way. He'd never tried this before, but maybe it appeared to be working...
A neat slide up to the nearside of her frame was enough to put him in a position to fully give her back what she'd given her. He didn't QUITE think of the possibility of a response full of what she'd given him earlier.. Sultan knew in the back of his mind that all this would be worthless, and he'd be feeling dirty for quite some time.. rubbing up against a mare.. and the likes of DELA? He held himself tight against her frame, rubbing his neck against hers and whispering in a low voice, tail swishing from side to side.
"Sweet Delarose can't think I like stallions now, could she? Her own sweet Casanova has come to woo her over! No doubts now, love..."
Sultan tugged lightly at her mane, and nipped at her shoulder where Tertius had before standing for a minute longer and then prancing away as if nothing happened, a smug grin on his face. He stopped quite a few yards distance and gave her an even gaze, watching to see what she would do. He felt a little sweaty across the withers, but he reasoned it as simply trying a new thing. Really, though... he felt gross. Yuck. I know I feel dirty... I must. She's a girl after all.. and I just did something a lover would do! Aghh... what the heck.
Sultan shook his head and returned to his original position.
"Convinced? Or was that too much to convince you.. I wonder. Weak minded creatures like yourself can't often take what they dish out..."
Sultan flipped his tail, proud of his accomplishments, but feeling rather off-set by such a strange endeavor. It was all new to him, you see..

Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone I’ll be waiting all there's left to do is run You be the prince and i’ll be the princess Its a love story baby just say yes
Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun… I like Sultan, he’s amusing! His every facial expression, his every response. It was a delight. But, oh… his reaction to me licking his cheek. Perfect. It couldn’t have been better. I was sure of it. And, if he wasn’t making such a big deal out of being called Sully I wouldn’t be having as much fun with his new…. Nickname. His eyes narrowed, as I used it again, and I couldn’t resist a giggle, and then he surprised me with his response. ”Oh, I’m not, obviously. Who would want to be called something so mushy? That sorta nickname is for lovers.” And then a smirk fitted onto his muzzle, as the colt attempted a ‘sexy stance’ and I couldn’t help it. I laughed. But then he did a stupid. No one called me Rose. It was rather upsetting to hear her grandfather’s nickname for her flick out, and it had been painful. Her favorite person in the world, besides her mother, ripped away from her to early. Rose had been his nickname for, and would be only her grandfather’s nickname for her. As Dela spoke out, She watched his ears flick back, and he frowned at her, and immediately the lightly dusted palomino felt bad for yelling with out a larger reason. ”Don’t frown at me like that! My grandfather was the only one who called me Rose! How would you like to hear something that reminds you of someone dear, whom you lost far to early?” She demanded, her eyes flashing, but her angry breathing was finally slowing again, and the young mare shifted slightly.
Tertius, Dela did not like him, he annoyed her more then she could understand. But the fact that he declared she had ‘something special’ with… with him, Dela couldn’t have been more shocked. With Sultan? Hell no. But finally the freaky stallion was finally leaving, and Dela shook her head, muttering a ”And good riddance.” Dela decided then and there that she’d just forget about it all… and this time… she’d just focus on teasing Sultan once more. Besides she had a whole lot more black mail over him now. And that pleased her. Dela felt rather pleased with herself, as she pushed against his form slightly with hers, and he shot her a confused look, and at his words, well… his groan was proof enough. This would be fun indeed. She was so pleased with herself. Sultan stood still, his muscles tight, and she smirked at the fact his eyes were practically sewn shut. This was defiantly fun! Though somewhere in the depths of her mind she felt her own thrill of pleasure at feeling his coat against hers. But that was just stupid, right? As Dela continued to speak she smirked as he drew in a breath, and she stood watching him, now back at were she was before. Then he took another deep breath, and then he was speaking. ”First of all, I am NOT gay.. not by a fat chance, little DelaROSE. I honestly hope you’re joking, because I realize nothing I say is going to convince you of anything.” Dela laughed at his glare, though she narrowed her eyes slightly on the emphasis on Rose, in her name. She might have to kill him later, once she was done teasing him. ”Second, I am determined to NEVER let you see Cloud, because I know you will not hesitate to tell him of a few verbal mistakes.”
Dela let out a gasp of mock-horror. ”Oh! But, come on, I mean… I wouldn’t say that much. In fact, I’m sure you could pay me quite well for my silence.” She said with a smirk, then he spoke again. ”No.. actually. It probably wouldn’t matter if you saw him or not. Chances are he’d laugh, true, but he’d laugh harder knowing that you were fake claimed by an old stallion. Hah. She glared at him, and took a threatening step closer. ”I knew all along it was a joke, of course, but I played along in order to help create the mood. Can you imagine what he could’ve done if it had been real?! Ohh I would’ve love to see that.” The filly snarled at him, ”Liar! You didn’t know at all! Besides, you looove me, didn’t you hear what the old stag said about you? I’m sure that Cloud would love to hear about that part of it all. Not to mention the way you defended me, and blushed at the fact that you did so!” Her tone held that ‘ah ha!’ factor to it, as she smirked at him. ”Please, dearest Dela,”, Dela raised an eyebrow, dearest? What the hell? ”Let me know if there’s anything I can do to prove to you that I’m not gay.. though, with your dense mind I wouldn’t be surprised if even anything I could do would convince you enough.” Dela smirked, ”Oh, Sultan Darling, it is much to early for that kind of talk, you haven’t even met my mother yet!” She responded, with a smirk. This was fun! He should say another thing! Then, he did something she didn’t expect.
And it shook up her world.
A cool grin appeared on his façade as he strolled smoothly, closer to her. ”..Although.. actually I have a better idea. You have no need to tell me to do anything, really. Perhaps I can let you know without you having to say anything at all… hmmm?” His low tones picked at her, and she had to force herself to ignore the way they made her heart skip a beat. Stupid hormones. ”Really, Sultan-love, we are much to young for that kind of talk.” She purred, and then… She was frozen still, her eyes widening as she felt his slightly larger form press against her. What was he doing!? She stared at him in horror as he held himself close to her, his neck rubbing against hers. She could feel the edges of his tail catch the sides of her back legs, as it swished from side to side, and his low, designingly ‘manly’ vocals caressed her auds like a lover’s caress. Where the hell did that even come from! ”Sweet Delarose can’t think I like stallions now, could she?” Why was she blushing! No, stop. Don’t blush, don’t blush, don’t blush. What the hell is he doing? His voice continued. ”Her own sweet Casanova has come to woo her over! No doubts now, love…” She stared at him, only half seeing, and forced her face not to show anything. But, honestly? Her Casanova? Wooing her? What on earth?! Then his teeth caught a strand of her mane, pulling on it slightly, before nipping her right were Tertius had before. She stood still, half out of it, as he finally pranced away, a smug grin on his face. Dela shook her head once, twice, before finally getting over his little actions… minus the butterflies in her stomach. What did he just do to her?
”Convinced? Or was that too much to convince you.. I wonder. Weak minded creatures like yourself can’t often take what they dish out…” She glared at him, she could too take it! She just had to get over the butterflies first. She snorted, before her own smirk crossed her muzzle, and she took a few steps closer to him, so she was standing directly in front of her. ”Oh, now Sultan. I think Tertius really must have been onto something. You must like me. But, unfortunately, love, I fear I don’t return such feelings.” Dela smirked, ”So you’re NOT gay… could have fooled me, you didn’t seem to like the whole experience as much as you pretended to, love.” She taunted, finally having gotten the butterflies bottled up. This time, though, he wasn’t allowed to get so close.
